Linda Collier 1942 to 2023. Loved so much by so many.

Mandy and Julie are hoping you will share in this tribute to our Mum, Linda Collier.
We KNOW you will have many treasured memories, funny stories and hopefully some lovely photos to share here for us all to enjoy and remember together.

Whilst Mum loved flowers (her favourite being Bluebells), we are requesting in place of these, that anyone wishing to, to make a donation to our chosen charity ‘Our Dementia Choir’, either on the link on this page, via the Funeral Directors or we will have a Donation Box on the day.

Our Dementia Choir is very close to our hearts, and something we know our Mum would have absolutely loved had she been able. Music was something Mum enjoyed and we were so grateful for; something she continued to enjoy and respond to, especially in these latter years, and literally up to her very last day with us.

It is a local choir formed of local people living with Dementia, set up and championed by the actress Vicky McClure; Karen Bonser and the team work tirelessy to raise money to allow them to continue.

We have seen them enjoy performing many many times, and it is truly beautiful to witness the joy music brings to their lives.

Their motto being

”Where memory fails, music breathes life”.

This was so very true for our Mum. So thank you in advance, for any donations allowing them to continue such an invaluable and immeasurable resource.

We are still in the process of finalising a few details, including a venue where we will continue to remember and celebrate our Mum’s life.

We will update on here with any further details as they are confirmed:-

UPDATES: The celebration of Mum / Lovely Linda’s Life will continue at

Soldiers and Sailors Club, 421 Tamworth Road Long Eaton Nottinghamshire NG10 3JS (Access to their Car Park is behind the premises off Fields Farm Road, Long Eaton)

And speaking earlier of Bluebells, Mum’s favourite flowers / colour, we are hoping everyone may wear a ‘hint of lilac/purple’ - perhaps a scarf, tie, pocket square …. whatever you'd like / feel comfortable in.

Also, for information, Mum / ‘Lovely Linda’ had chosen a hymn  for us all to sing called:

‘Make Me a Channel of Your Peace’

We’re all hoping you are familiar and in fine singing voice for ‘Lovely Linda’ on the day! ☺️

Please feel free to share this to those our Mum Linda has been lucky enough to have in her life, and vice versa!!!
